International Intensive Programme on Academic Mobility of Teaching Staff: Digital Transformation of Technical and Vocational Education

From 7 to 13 September 2026, the International Intensive Programme “Digital Transformation of Technical and Vocational Education: Artificial Intelligence, AIGC and Modern Educational Technologies” will be held at the State Municipal Enterprise “College of Printmedia Technologies” as part of the academic mobility programme for teaching staff.

The programme is aimed at developing the professional competencies of teaching staff in the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system and building practical skills in the use of modern digital tools in the educational process.

Objective of the Intensive Programme

The main objective of the intensive programme is to enhance teachers’ professional competencies in the use of artificial intelligence, AIGC and digital educational technologies for modernising the learning process, developing educational content, and improving practice-oriented specialist training.

Particular attention will be paid to the transition from the traditional use of digital tools to their systematic application in educational process design, the development of learning content, the organisation of practical training, and the assessment of vocational training outcomes.

Key Areas of the Programme

Participants in the intensive programme will have the opportunity to explore modern approaches to the use of artificial intelligence and AIGC (Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content) in vocational education.

  • The programme covers the following areas:
  • application of artificial intelligence in the educational process;
  • use of AIGC for creating educational content;
  • modern digital educational technologies;
  • development of interactive learning materials;
  • use of AI to prepare practical and professionally oriented assignments;
  • digitalisation of students’ project-based and practical activities;
  • use of intelligent tools for developing training courses;
  • modern approaches to creating visual, textual and multimedia content;
  • opportunities offered by AI to enhance the effectiveness of teaching activities;
  • responsible and effective use of artificial intelligence in education.

A distinctive feature of the International Intensive Programme is its practice-oriented learning format. Participants will not only explore relevant digital solutions but will also have the opportunity to apply them in developing their own educational materials and learning assignments.

During the practical sessions, teachers will develop prototypes of digital educational content, adapt AI tools to the specific requirements of the subjects they teach, and integrate these tools into professional training programmes.

This is particularly important for the TVET system, where digital technologies should be directly connected with the development of professional competencies and real-world occupational tasks.

Participants

The intensive programme brings together:

  • teaching staff from technical and vocational education and training organisations;
  • teachers of specialised vocational disciplines;
  • instructors of practical training;
  • methodologists.

The international format of the programme will enable participants to explore modern educational practices, exchange professional experience, and discuss prospects for the digital transformation of the vocational education system.

Today, the digital transformation of technical and vocational education is becoming one of the key factors in improving the quality of skilled workforce training.

The use of artificial intelligence and content-generation technologies opens up new opportunities for personalised learning, the development of modern educational materials, the simulation of professional situations, and the enhancement of practical training.

The International Intensive Programme is designed to provide teachers not only with an understanding of the potential of emerging technologies but also with the practical readiness to use artificial intelligence as a tool for educational design, vocational training, and the development of learners’ professional competencies.

The programme will serve as a platform for professional dialogue, the exchange of international experience, and the development of new approaches to specialist training in the context of the digital economy.

Ceremonial Opening of Chinese Language Courses for Double-Degree Programme Students at the College of Printmedia Technologies

As part of the development of international cooperation between educational institutions in Kazakhstan and China, the College of Printmedia Technologies held the ceremonial opening of Chinese language courses for students enrolled in the double-degree programme.

Learning Chinese is becoming an important component of students’ international educational training, providing additional opportunities to continue their studies, participate in academic mobility programmes, and engage in professional cooperation with Chinese partners.

As part of the courses, students will develop their spoken and written communication skills, reading and comprehension skills in Chinese, expand their professional vocabulary, and learn more about the cultural and educational environment of China.

The courses are particularly significant in view of the prospects for students to continue their education under the double-degree programme in cooperation with the Shanghai College of Publishing and Printing. Knowledge of Chinese will enable students to adapt more confidently to the educational environment, communicate effectively with teachers and peers, and expand their opportunities to participate in international projects and academic exchange programmes.

The ceremonial opening marked the symbolic beginning of a new stage of international educational cooperation focused on training specialists who are prepared to work in a global and digital economy.

For our students, Chinese is not simply a new subject — it is a new educational pathway, new professional opportunities, and a step towards an international future.

The College of Printmedia Technologies continues to develop international partnerships, academic mobility and modern educational programmes, creating opportunities for students to receive high-quality education and gain valuable international professional experience.

Practice-Oriented Sessions on Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence

On 10 September 2026, as part of the International Intensive Programme under the academic mobility programme for teaching staff, a series of practice-oriented sessions was held focusing on the acquisition of modern digital technologies and their integration into the educational process.

One of the key activities was the master class “Developing Practice-Oriented Learning Assignments: Post-Processing Using Artificial Intelligence for Digital Photography.”

Participants explored modern approaches to developing learning assignments aimed at building professional competencies, as well as the possibilities of using artificial intelligence for processing and enhancing digital photographs.

The practical focus of the master class enabled participants to see how digital tools and AI can be used not only to create content but also to organise professionally oriented learning.

As part of the practical session “Innovative Technologies in Vocational Education: 3D Design and Manufacturing (Including 3D AIGC). AI as a Tool for Visual Creativity and Professional Practice,” participants explored modern opportunities in 3D design, manufacturing and generative technologies.

Particular attention was paid to the application of 3D AIGC and artificial intelligence in visual creativity, the development of digital objects, and the exploration of new ways to use AI in professional practice.

These sessions demonstrate that modern vocational education is gradually moving from the study of individual digital tools towards their integrated application in the creation of educational and professional products.

The International Intensive Programme serves as a platform for experience sharing, the acquisition of innovative technologies, and the development of new approaches to training specialists who are in demand in the digital economy.
