The library is an incomparable source of knowledge in the world.
The growth of society and the prosperity of humanity are closely related to books. As the Head of State K. Tokayev noted, “It is impossible to imagine an information center of the educational process without a library.”
The library is the leading structural unit of the college. The library provides information and bibliographic services to teachers, students and other categories of readers, conducts educational work with students. In its activities, the library is guided by the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, orders of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Regulations on the library.
The total area of the library is 108 sq. m., the book storage area is 55 sq. m. Today, the library's book collection consists of 46,444 books. Textbooks are 25,813 copies. Fiction books and teaching aids are 20,631 copies.
Currently, the library serves the following categories of readers:
Students – 1382
Teachers – 164
At the same time, our college administration pays great attention to providing students with new books and periodicals. Every year, the library expands its book collection, replenishes it with educational publications and methodological tools for college teachers.
Also, the administration takes care and is interested in the production of competent specialists and takes all measures to ensure that a young specialist is sufficiently competent and professionally prepared for labor activity after graduation.
Readers are provided with an electronic catalog, access to databases, and the Internet on a free basis. Students and teachers are provided with computers for independent work and the ability to save results on media. Teachers use interactive whiteboards in their lessons and open curatorial hours. Electronic textbooks are used in lessons in all subjects.
Reader rights
The reader has the right:
To use the library, bibliographic and information services provided by the library;
to receive detailed information about the composition of the library funds and to receive advisory assistance in searching for and selecting sources of information;
to borrow books for temporary use at home or in the reading room.
The reader's duties are:
to carefully examine the books borrowed from the library funds, to return them within the specified time;
to examine and check the books upon receipt and to inform the librarian about any defects;
to replace the books with identical ones in case of loss or damage;
to compensate for the cost of the lost publication in the amount of three times the amount if it is not possible to replace it with an alternative one;
to return all documents given to him to the library upon leaving the college and to have the bypass sheet signed.
Work schedule:
Monday - Friday: 9.00 - 18.00
Saturday: 9.00 - 13.00
Cleaning day is the last working day of the month.
