The first day of the WorldSkills Almaty 2025 competition💎

April 9, 2025 — The competition opened with a formal welcome ceremony for participants and experts. Participants were briefed on site safety regulations. After the official opening, the first practical tasks began.
In the "Printing Technologies in the Press" category, participants began tasks related to the preparation of printed materials. Their goal is to demonstrate their skills in working with modern printing equipment, setting up processes, and optimizing product quality. Participants must also consider the latest trends in digital printing and environmentally friendly technologies.
In the "Laser Technologies" category, a series of tests on laser cutting and engraving of various materials begins. Tasks include creating precise and complex parts using laser machines, as well as working with new software for setting up and monitoring laser systems.

On April 9, 2025, the first day of the 10th WorldSkills Almaty-2025 regional championship began in Almaty! More than 200 students from Almaty colleges participated in the championship across 25 competencies. Our college's second-year Graphic Design student, V.S. Sheremetyev, is participating.

The college annually hosts the WorldSkills Almaty Open Regional Championship on the competencies of Printing technologies in the press and Laser technologies. College students, according to their profile, take part in the championship in the competencies of Graphic Design and Visual merchandising and showcase. A total of 11 teachers are technical experts of the WorldSkills Almaty Regional Championship and under their leadership, college students have won 5 prizes, 2 medallions, and have certificates for participation.
